Nairobi, Kenya's Capital is a well-planned modern city of over three million inhabitants. The most populous city in East Africa and 4th largest city in Africa. Nairobi was ranked at 58th in the Capital of the World rank. The list ranks of cities in order of their prominence as a global capital as an economic and cultural powerhouse. It is the commercial “capital” of East and Central Africa serving more than eight countries besides hosting several United Nations offices. Justly described as a garden city as its broad avenues are lined with flowering plants and shrubs. Situated at an altitude of 1600 meters, it enjoys hot sunny days and cool evenings. Places of interest to the visitor include the Municipal Market, the ornate Jamia Mosque and the National Museum with its adjacent Snake Park and Aviary. Day 2 Nairobi / Amboseli (Tortilis Camp)
Beisa Oryx

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, you will be met by Nature Expeditions representative who will transfer you to the Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to o Amboseli National Park, located to the south east of Nairobi. The Park is famous for its big game and scenic beauty with the landscape dominated by Mt. Kilimanjaro. It offers an interesting contrast in appearance with its dry and dusty appearance, which can be attributed to the volcanic ash that came out of Mt Kilimanjaro when it last erupted. In spite of the appearance, there is a continuous supply of water that gets filtered through volcanic rocks from Kilimanjaro's melted snow. These streams flow underground, creating lush green areas, and converge at two clear water springs in the park. On arrival, you will be met by your host who will transfer you to your camp with a game drive en route to arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in a shared vehicle until sunset.  Dinner and overnight at the TORTILIS CAMP (package).

Day 3 Amboseli Game Reserve (Tortilis Camp)

Spend a further day in the park on morning and afternoon game viewing drives in a shared vehicle. The long-necked gerenuk is a graceful antelope which spends much of its time in a bi-pedal stance seeking succulence among the withered scrub which dots this harsh terrain. Scenically, for most of the year Samburu is under the unsympathetic equatorial sun. But relief comes from the Ewaso Ng’iro River which rises some hundreds of kilometers to the west on the foothills of the Aberdares and which vanishes beyond Samburu in the recess of the Lorian swamp. All meals and overnight at the LARSEN’S CAMP (package)
